About the Bello Collective

Our goal: to bring together writers, journalists, and other voices who share a passion for the world of audio storytelling.

--

Every day, millions of people put on headphones and listen to their favorite voices. Thousands of hours of stories, interviews, news, and commentary are being consumed, and the rise of podcasting has opened a new golden age of audio. With so many avid listeners and storytellers, many are asking, “Is it possible talk about audio the way we talk about film, books, or visual arts?”

We really like podcasts, and we’re excited about innovations in technology and journalism. The Bello Collective (rhymes with “hello”) is a place to explore our passions and to curate unique, diverse perspectives in the industry; a place to highlight work that deserves more recognition; a place to elevate voices that are outside of the media mainstream. The Bello team is on a mission to gather the best voices and perspectives in the industry to curate, inspire, and dissect the world of audio, and to talk about what happens after we click play.

We rely on the support of members and advertisers to run this publication. If you appreciate our work, please consider becoming a member or sponsor.

The Bello Editors and Writers

The Bello Collective is made up of a diverse team of writers, curators, podcasters, and fans, who are passionate about audio and stories.

Ashley Lusk and Galen Beebe are the co-editors of the Bello Collective.

In addition to their work with the Bello Collective, Ashley Lusk is the head of audience strategy for CNN and Galen Beebe is a freelance producer and writer.

We are always mindful of any potential conflicts of interest when recommending shows, editing articles, and taking on new sponsors. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
