“Fever Dream” is a lyrical, fictitious audio re-imagining of a real relationship at the heart of Singapore’s independence story. Dancing between the graceful and surreal, the piece explores an unimaginable relationship through its quietest moments. This piece was created by Roshan Singh Sambhi, Andas Productions. [Transcript]

A note from Elena Fernández Collins, editor of the Bello Collective’s (Non)Fiction Issue:

“Fever Dream” is an incredible work of audio art — a piece that resonates with a love of Singapore’s place and voice, which comes through not only in the audio itself, but in its production process as well. Andas Productions’ focus on providing a secure and ethical collaborative space for Asian and Asian diaspora people, as well as people from other marginalized and oppressed cultures and histories, is well known within the independent fiction sound industry. I cannot wait to watch them and their work as they flourish.

The Bello Collective is a publication + newsletter about podcasts and the audio industry. Our goal is to bring together writers, journalists, and other voices who share a passion for the world of audio storytelling.
